Studio have been crowned to have the first Christmas advert for 2021. Yes you heard it, a Christmas advert launched at the end of September! This ad titled “Team Early” features various folk eager to get in to the Christmas spirit.
From a lady singing “It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas” from her tinsel surrounded car window to workers wearing Christmas socks and a man secretly eating a mince pie. We even see a house fully decorated on Halloween night much to the surprise of some children dressed up for Halloween.
It’s obvious that the advert is purposely airing this early as a tongue-in-cheek campaign. All that said, there may be more ads coming early as supermarkets and retailers warn of possible supply problems in the lead up to Christmas due to lorry driver shortages and other factors this year. Many may choose to encourage early purchases to ease demand in December 2021.

The music in the 2021 Studio Christmas advert is the festive song “It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas” recorded in 1951 by Italian -American singer Perry Como and The Fontane Sisters with Mitchell Ayres & His Orchestra. The song was written by American composer Meredith Wilson.
American singer and actor Bing Cosby also recorded a version of the song in 1951 which was also widely played. In 2011, Canadian singer Michael Bublé recorded a version of the song as the first track on his ‘Christmas’ album.
