Here comes the first major festive entry with this Disney Christmas 2021 advert titled “The Stepdad”.
The 60-second animated ad tells a heart-warming story as we follow Nicole, the granddaughter from Disney’s 2020 commercial now all grown up.
She has a family of her own to enjoy Christmas traditions with. Her two children, Max and Ella get upset when their stepfather accidently destroys a beautiful Christmas cake decorated as a house.
Feeling concerned he is later pleasantly surprised to see him included in a family drawing on the fridge made by Max. He decides to make the remake the cake much to the children’s delight.
Disney say on their YouTube channel that “We hope you enjoy this special Christmas ad, celebrating the joy that the stepdads of the world bring us.”

The music in the 2021 Disney Christmas Advert is a song called “Love Runs Deeper” that was recorded by South African singer-songwriter Lloyiso especially for the 2021 Disney ad.
The music was written by US songwriters and producers Austin Zudeck, Justin Thunstrom and Dewain Whitmore.
