2021 Kopparberg Advert Song – Without Love

This new Kopparberg advert titled ‘High Five” celebrates the role that the brand’s fruit cider has played in pop culture.

The ad begins in 1977 where Los Angeles Dodgers stars Dusty Baker and Glenn Burke apparently created the “high five”.

The commercial then follows subsequent years as the gesture makes its way in to popular culture such as athletes, musicians, punk rockers and business people. The ad concludes with the tagline “To Firsts That Last” – Kopparberg’s new brand platform.

Music: Long Train Runnin’ | Artist : The Doobie Brothers

The music in the 2021 Kopparberg High Five advert is a song called “Long Train Runnin'” recorded in 1973 by American rock band ‘The Doobie Brothers’. The song was released as a single peaking at number 7 in the UK Singles Chart and number 7 on the US Billboard Hot 100. The track features on the band’s studio album The Captain and Me.

You could be forgiven for thinking the song’s title is “Without Love” as the song’s title phrase is not uttered in the lyrics:

Down around the corner, half a mile from here
See them long trains run, and you watch them disappear
Without love, where would you be now?
Without love
