BMW promote their four wheel drive Xdrive with this ad featuring the 4×4 tearing up whatever terrain is thrown at it. The ad says “Remeber when everything you did was for the sheer pleasure of it”. The music in the advert is the 1997 hit Song 2 by the London based 90’s rock band Blur. The band became central to the Britpop music and culture movement in the 90’s. They achieved mass popularity in the UK, aided by a chart battle with rivals Oasis in 1995 dubbed the “Battle of Britpop”. Song 2 can be downloaded from the links below.
