The song being sung in the 2021 Citroën C4 advert is called “Oh Happy Day”. The song is a gospel music arrangement of an 18th-century hymn. It was originally released in 1968 by American gospel musicians The Edwin Hawkins Singers.

The Edwin Hawkins’ arrangement originates from a hymn written in the mid-18th century called “O happy day, that fixed my choice” by English clergyman Philip Doddridge. “Oh Happy Day” reached number 1 in the charts in France, Germany and the Netherlands, number 2 in the UK Singles Chart and number 4 on the US Singles Chart.
