This advert by Cheetos for the Superbowl LIV (2020) stars American rapper and record producer MC Hammer. We are taken back to 1989 where we see the Hip hop artist sat at a piano eating some Cheetos humming a certain well known track of his which is yet to be released. He is just about to play when he realises his fingers are covered in Cheetos. Hammer then goes on to say “Wait, I Can’t Touch This”. He then looks up and realises he has discovered the title lyrics to his next hit.

The music played right at the end of the Cheetos Superbowl LIV advert is the 1990 hit “U Can’t Touch This” by American rapper and producer MC Hammer.
Considered his signature song, “U Can’t Touch This” became his most successful single reaching number 3 on the UK SinglesChart, number 1 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks and no. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100. The track also reached number 1 in Australia, Netherlands, New Zealand and Sweden.
The track wasn’t initially released as a single and as a result, the album “Please Hammer, Don’t Hurt ‘Em” enjoyed over 18 million sales and was certified multi-platinum by the he RIAA.
