JD Sports have released their Christmas advert for 2021 titled “Welcome to the JD Street”. The star-studded ad includes celebrities KSI, Maya Jama, Aitch, Little Simz, Tobi Brown and Jadon Sancho.The ad also includes some of England’s brightest football stars including Jude Bellingham, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ebe Eze, Kalvin Phillips, Leah Williamson and Jadon Sancho.
In the ad we are taken to Oldham’s Albion Street and Curzon Street which are lit up by Christmas lights and JD Sports branding. A young male takes a stroll down a high street on a cold, wintery night and bumps in to British YouTuber, rapper and songwriter KSI.
English presenter and DJ Maya Jama and actor rapper and comedian Michael Dapaah can be seen in a shop window. They appear to be running a dog groomers called “Jama & Dapaah”. The shop is visited by former Love Island contestant Joanna Chimonides. Also Little Simz and singer Ms Banks are seen catching up at a milkshake parlour called “Jammy Dodgers”.
The stars just keep coming as we now see English rapper Aitch and singer Shaybo serving up Jamaican patties at a restaurant called Jerk Dumplings. Meanwhile Central Cee and Riss Millions are looking for mince pies at the “Juicy & Delicious grocery store”.
YouTubers Tobi Brown and KSI, rappers Young T & Bugsey artist Arrdee, presenter Joelah Noble, rapper Jay 1 and bike collective BikeStormz also appear in this festive ad.
Throughout the whole ad, the stars are sporting all the branded clothing that can be found in British sports-fashion retailer. JD Sports are sending the message that they are proud to embrace the communities and culture around them.
