The 12-part drama series is based on the 2018 novel by Sally Rooney and stars Daisy Edgar-Jones as Marianne and Paul Mescal as Connell. Set in Ireland, we follow the relationship between two high school teenagers and complications around their social divisions. The thoughtful ballad is a piano-led reflection on the difficult details of a break-up. In the commercial we hear the song’s lyrics “Do you think about me at night? When the sky is losing the light I swear my head fills up with memories” and “tell me why this has to be this heavy” followed by repetitive lyric… “Do you think about, do you think about, do you think about”.
