In this advert Volvo joins the 2019 global Earth Hour movement which encourages us all to switch off the lights for an hour which happened last March
The global ‘powercut’ is an annual event that encourages individuals, communities and business to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour as a symbol of their commitment to saving energy for the good of the planet. Many landmarks get involved including Big Ben in London, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Sydney Opera House and hundreds more around the world.
The next Earth Hour is scheduled for Saturday 28th March 2020 between 8:30 and 9:30pm GMT.

The music in the Volvo Switch Earth Hour advert is a reworded version of the traditional African-American spiritual song He’s Got The Whole World In His Hands. In this ad we hear the lyrics “You’ve got the whole world in your hands”.
The song is performed by Swedish singer and songwriter Sarah Klang. The track is not currently commercially available
