British Gas Advert Song – Turn Down For What

This new British Gas advert titled “This is what being more sustainable looks like” aims to show the easy ways in which people can live more sustainably.

In this advert we see a man reversing his car in to his drive and before plugging the vehicle in to his Hive charging system. All this to the sound of a hip-hop song by DJ Snake & Lil Jon. The ad concludes with large bold writing saying “They are electrifying literally”.

The advert is one of three 30-second ads being aired on TV as part of a wider campaign by British Gas including billboards, video-on-demand and cinemas across the UK.

In this version of the British Gas advert, we see a mother playing a board game at home with her two children. She decides to turn the heating down by using her Hive app on her smartphone before the hip-hop beat drops.

This third instalment shows a woman in the kitchen preparing to boil the kettle. She makes sure that only the required amount of water is in the kettle before boiling it.

Then the slogan “This is what being more sustainable looks like” appears in large lettering on screen alongside “Greener power to the people”. Of course the famous song drops in as well. More details on the music below….
