Marks & Spencer are another brand who's Christmas TV Ad is much anticipated. This year's effort is part of their social media campaign #FollowTheFairies. It features the two fairies 'Magic & Sparkle'. The infamous track used is 'Fly me to the moon' written by Bart Howard, and originally recorded by Kaye Ballard in 1954. It has since had many covers by popular artists, the most obvious being Frank Sinatra. The advert's version is by Julie London, a version which was recorded in 1963 predating Sinatra's rendition.
John Lewis TV adverts are one of the most anticipated in recent years. This year they once again have come up with an imaginative story. It features Monty the penguin and his search for love during the build up to Christmas. The sound track is a cover of John Lennon's 'Real Love'. The track was re-worked by the remaining three members of the Beatles in 1995. This version however is a cover especially commissioned for the TV Ad performed by Tom Odell.

One of the first to release their Christmas 2014 TV adverts is Debenhams. It has the slogan of 'Find your fabulous Christmas' showing shoppers exploring a festive store. The track used is an instrumental version of Paul McCartney's famous 80's track 'We all stand together' which featured a cartoon music video of singing frogs. So popular was the track it was re-released for Christmas in 1984.

Argos continues its 'Get set for' campaign for Christmas 2014 with 'Get set for advent'. the track in the ad is Run DMC's 'Christmas in Hollis which featured in the famous 1988 movie Die Hard.
Littlewoods' Christmas TV Advert takes on an Aladdin pantomime theme featuring Myleene Class as a genie appearing from a magic lamp. Unusually the track used is a dance anthem called 'Bom Bom' by Sam and the Womp.
Part of Boots #SpecialBecause campaign, their Christmas TV Advert shows a family putting Christmas on hold to wait for their mum to finish her night shift as a nurse 'because she's worth it'
Coca-Cola's Christmas 2014 TV advert spreads the word about bring joy to others with little gestures that will make someone smile. The track featured is Jimmy Durante's 'Make Someone Happy'.
