The music in the ad is the popular American song Tonight You Belong To Me performed by The New Orleans Swamp Donkeys. The song which was written in 1926 by lyricist Billy Rose and composer Lee David was first recorded by Irving Kaufman. A rerecording In 1927 by Gene Austin became a major hit. There were more subsequent re-recordings in the 50’s by Frankie Laine and female vocal duo Patience and Prudence.
